"Sex and the City" styled film, SEX, SHOES & UNICORNS Takes Sex and Shoes to the Big Screen

Los Angeles, CA August 4, 2004 -- What happens when four beautiful women must choose between their friendship, boys and a new pair of shoes? "Sex, Shoes & Unicorns" is what happens. SS&U is an irreverent, sexy comedy written by Three Nineteen Productions (319), the makers of "Get Spielberg" and "Picture Perfect". The film stars four unknown female L.A. beauties, cast against type to the four well-known SATC actors lead by Sarah Jessica Parker. Principle photography begins September 17th, 2004.

With plans to release the film via the plethora of 2005 film festivals, 319 hopes to invoke serious interest from film distributors based on the film's comical but identifiable content. Chick flick? "Absolutely," says Angelo Bell, writer and director. "This is certainly a film for women, but with the sexiness that is inherently a part of the script, guys are sure to want to see it."

Angelo Bell got his start writing spec scripts. In 2003, after a series of small successes in screenwriting contests, Angelo wrote and directed his first short film, "Get Spielberg."

"Once 'Get Spielberg' was in the can I was hooked," says Angelo. He immediately began working on his sophomore project, "Picture Perfect." The digital film was shot in one day on a consumer model camera. Angelo plans to re-shot "Picture Perfect" on a highend MiniDV camera in August and submit it to the Sundance Film Festival for 2005. However, his break-out aspirations still rely heavily on SS&U.

"Sex, Shoes & Unicorns" mixes humor, sexuality, irreverence female idiosyncracies unlike anything before it. The screenplay took 18 months to complete.

Armed with an expert casting director, Christal Vivian (Ace Ventura), Three Nineteen Productions hopes to create a visually enticing and provocative tale of four beautiful, enchanting and beguiling women who have a challenging experience that threatens their friendship and questions their principles when they are forced to choose between guy-friends, girlfriends and new shoes.

319 has secured sponsorships from several boutique fashion designers. Realizing the marketing potential of the film, Army Pink, CK Bradley, Jamatex and Mary Phillips Designs have all agreed to donate contemporary fashions to the production.

Three Nineteen Productions hopes to have the national premiere of the film during the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT.

Three Nineteen Productions (319) is an independent production company with the specific goal of producing several short films and feature films in the next two years. 319 adheres to the cost-effectiveness of low-budget filmmaking with an extreme emphasis on quality of story. The company believes solid films can be made with modest budgets if creativity and resourcefulness are a priority.
